VIA Adds More Trains Running Between London And Toronto

VIA Rail is adding two new trains to the London-Toronto route.
Right now, there are seven daily trains running between London and Toronto. VIA plans to bump that to nine.
There will be a new mid-day departure and a new-after work departure from Toronto to London. On the London to Toronto route the first train will arrive before 8:30am and there will be a new after-work departure train.
VIA says the new routes are due to an increase in the number of passengers between the two cities. In 2014, 441,362 people travelled between the two, compared to 436,694 the previous year.
The company hopes the new trains will start running in the fall of 2015 or in early 2016. There is no set time line.
Existing routes will not be changed to accommodate the new trains.
