Man Charged Following Gun Scare

A 33-year-old London man is charged with several weapon and drug offenses following a gun scare at White Oaks Mall.

Police were called to the mall's south parking lot around 6pm on Saturday, May 16 for a report of a man with a rifle.

The man was chased by officers and investigators say there was an "accidental discharge of a police firearm into the ground" before he was arrested.

Jeremy Allan of London faces the following charges.

  •  pointing a firearm
  •  possession of a weapon dangerous to the public
  •  resisting arrest
  •  possession of a schedule II substance
  •  enter premises when entry prohibited
Investigators say a pellet gun was found at the scene.

Allan has a court appearance scheduled for Wednesday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
