Majors Dethrone Royals

The London Majors are now 4-0 after driving in 19 runs against the Guelph Royals at Labatt Park Friday night for a final score of 19-2.

The Majors were down 2-0 in the first inning but held the Royals to that number as they scored one run in the third, three in the fourth, four in the sixth and eleven more in the seventh.

Cody Mombourquette scored three RBI and four runs for the Majors. Clevelend Brownlee and Humberto Ruiz scored three runs each. Byron Reichstein and Argenis Vargas had two RBI and two runs each.

Majors' starter Luis Pina went six innings, giving up two runs on five hits. He struck out six and walked one.

London now travels to Guelph for a rematch Saturday at 1pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
