It might not be quite summer weather yet but East Park is opening its Waterpark attractions today.
The rest of the park on Hamilton Rd, including golfing and go-carts, is already open for the season. General Manager Alon Shatil says they've been preparing the seven water slides, water climber and splash pad for a while now.
"It's a tremendous amount of work," says Shatil. "Luckily we have the best maintenance crew around and they transform this place from a sleepy winter location to an absolutely beautiful summer attraction."
Shatil admits the water will be a little cool to start, but kids can't wait to get in and splash around.
The Waterpark will be open on weekends until June 26 when it begins daily operation.
