School Bus And Motorcycle Involved In Crash

OPP say a motorcyclist is recovering from minor injuries after hitting a school bus in Elgin County.

Investigators say a school bus was leaving a private driveway on Hwy. 3 this morning when it pulled out in front of a motorcycle. The motorcyclist,a 64-year-old St. Thomas man, hit the rear tires of the bus and was taken to hospital. The school bus was empty at the time of the crash. The investigation is on-going and no charges have been laid as of yet. The school bus was being driven by a 65-year-old St. Thomas man. OPP say so far this year there have been 38 crashes in Ontario involving school buses and the province is on-track to hit a record high.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
