Just after 11pm Monday, police searched a home on Forest Ave. and say they seized the meth as well as some cash, 7 large knives, scales, and packaging material.
Albert Bartsch, 34, and Kristen Lay, 26, of St Thomas are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
SPS Board Chair Kelly Ash said the decision followed discussions with Acting Chief Mike Federico and aligns with practices at other police services.
