Fatal Collision Near Stratford

A 16 year-old boy has died after his motorcycle collided with a pick-up near Stratford Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews were called out just after 11:00am to the scene of a crash between a motorcycle and a GMC pickup at the intersection of Line 40 and Road 110. The rider of the motorcycle, 16 year-old Jeremy Wickenheiser of Perth East, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck was transported to hospital with undetermined injuries. Perth County OPP and the OPP West Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Team remain at the scene this afternoon.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
