St. Thomas Man Charged With Internet Luring, Sex Offences

A 24-year-old St. Thomas man is in custody after police say he contacted an underage person online offering payment to perform sexual acts on the 15-year-old.
Police say the victim's family contacted investigators about inappropriate Facebook message their child had received.
On June 5, the 24-year-old was arrested and charged with sexual assault on a person under the age of 16, sexual interference on a person under the age of 16, adult luring person under the age of 16 by means of telecommunication and adult agreement to commit sexual offence against a person under the age of 16.
He remains in custody.
Police have not released his name or any further details.
Officers are asking you to watch over your child's online activity and talk to you children about sexual predators.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
