Suspicious Man Near Springbank Park

Two women have reported a man acting suspiciously in the area of Springbank Park and London police believe the cases are related.

Both incidents happened Sunday June 14 between 8pm-9:15pm in the area of the cycling/walking path that extends between the Guy Lombardo Museum parking lot and the footbridge from Springbank Park, to the Thames Valley Golf Course.

In the first case, the man followed a woman for a short distance along the path, made an inappropriate comment to her and then disappeared into a treed area.

In the second circumstance, the man followed a woman across the foot bridge toward the golf course. When she reached McKellar Ave., he grabbed her from behind and then ran back along the foot bridge. She wasn't injured.

Both women gave a similar suspect description: a slim, white male, approximately 20 years old, between 5'8" and 6'. He was clean shaven and wearing dark pants, shirt and ball cap. He was also carrying a black phone and using black earbuds.

The London Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section is investigating and would like to hear from anyone else who has encountered this individual.
