Red Sox Down Majors

The London Majors fell 7-3 to the Red Sox Friday night in Brantford.

London starting pitcher Oscar Perez  lasted six innings, scattering three earned runs on nine hits. He struck out nine and walked two.

At the plate, Kenta Nishii had a solo home run for London, his second long ball of the season. Second baseman Cody Mombourquette and shortstop Paul Lytwynec each drove in a run.

London is on 8-6 in the season and will play Hamilton on Saturday. First pitch is at 7:30pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
