Hundreds Of Pigs Stolen In Norfolk

OPP say 500 pigs have been stolen from a Norfolk County farm.

It is believed the theft happened between April 21 and June 19.

Police were called to a farm in Houghton on Norfolk county Rd. 28 on Friday, June 19.

Investigators say the farmer had been raising several thousand animals and after doing an inventory he told police about 500 pigs had gone missing.

The theft is valued at roughly $90,000.

Officers are asking for the public's help with the investigation. Anyone who heard or saw anything is asked to contact police or CrimeStoppers.
