Driver Blows Four Times Legal Limit

St. Thomas police say a repeat offender is accused of driving with a blood alcohol level almost four times the legal limit.

The man's licence was also under suspension for previous impaired driving convictions. He was also wanted in connection with another impaired driving case.

Police say an officer pulled the vehicle over around 12:30am on Friday and determined the man had been drinking.

The 44-year-old St. Thomas man was charged with driving with over 80 mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood, two counts of driving while disqualified, driving while suspended, and having open alcohol in his vehicle.

He was to appear in court Friday.
