Replica Handgun Pointed At Pedestrians

One man is charged after what appeared to be a handgun was pointed at a group of pedestrians in Woodstock.

The Woodstock Police Service says on Thursday around 3pm, a grey Pontiac car driven by a woman stopped in the area of Dundas St. and Wellington St.  A man then rolled down the car window and pointed a gun at people walking on the sidewalk. The vehicle then left the area.

Police quickly located the vehicle at Wellington St. and Main St. and a man and woman were arrested without incident.

A replica handgun was located in the car.

Tyler Thorburn, 22, has been charged with firearms offences and is also facing other charges in an unrelated incident. Thorburn is being held pending a bail hearing on Friday.
