Majors Win On Purple In The Park Night

The London Majors gave fans and supporters of the London Abused Women's Centre a win at Labatt Park on Friday night.

Oscar Perez threw a complete game as the Majors beat the Guelph Royals 5-3.

Fans in the stands and the Majors all wore purple jerseys in the annual game devoted to fundraising and awareness for abused women. Brandon Prust, former London Knight who now plays for the Vancouver Canucks, threw out the first pitch.

Majors shortstop Paul Lytwynec and third baseman Kenta Nishii each drove in a run and the Majors improved to 14-11.

The Majors travel to Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs Sunday at 2pm.
