LPFFA Warns Of Phone Scam

The London Professional Fire Fighters Association is warning residents of fraudulent phone calls asking for donations on behalf of the organization.

John Hassan, president of LPFFA, says a London man received a high pressure phone call from a blocked number asking for money.

When the man did not cooperate, the male caller transferred him to a woman. He hung up on the caller when he realized it was not a legitimate call.

Hassan encourages anyone who receives a call like this to contact the police.

He asks that if you have relatives who are not on social media to contact them and let them know about the scam.
