Londoner Killed In Motorcycle Crash

OPP say one person is dead and another is fighting for their life after the motorcycle they were driving became lodged between a pick-up and trailer.

Officers were called to the intersection of London Rd. and Creditor Rd. near Exeter around 10pm Sunday night.

Investigators say a motorcycle with two people on it was headed south on London Rd. when a dodge pickup truck towing a large trailer pulled out in front of it.

The motorcycle hit the truck and trailer and became wedged between them.

Don Horwood, 62, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was driving the motorcycle at the time of the crash.

Donna Horwood, 59, is in a London hospital with what are being described as major injuries. She was a passenger on the bike.

The male driver of the pick up truck, Brian Stack, 57, of Wingham faces charges of failing to yield to traffic on a through highway and failing to surrender his licence.

The investigation is still ongoing.
