Van Halen christened the Western Fair District's new outdoor concert venue last night with a bang.
An estimated 7,500 fans packed the new concert site at the racetrack to catch original members David Lee Roth, Eddie Van Halen and Alex Van Halen performing their hits like Jump and Running with the Devil in their over two hour show.
Wolfgang Van Halen, Eddie's son, has played bass with the band since the 2006 departure of Michael Anthony.
Western Fair District Chief Executive officer Hugh Mitchell says “It’s really just the start,” for the new venue.
