ATV Crash Turns Into Homicide

Police are now ruling the death of a 42-year-old Sarnia man as a homicide, and have arrested one man in connection with the incident.

The Sarnia Police Service previously reported on Friday that Raynold Fisher of Sarnia was critically injured in an ATV crash Wednesday night on Vidal St. S.  Police also said Fisher had been ejected from the ATV, which was located up against a light standard. He was found unconscious at the scene.

Fisher succumbed to his injuries Thursday night after having been rushed to a London hospital.

Sarnia police say officers later received information that turned the crash into a suspicious death investigation.

On Saturday, officers arrested a man who is now facing a murder charge. Police have not identified the man but say he is in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Sarnia police Detective Sergeant Leo Murphy at 519-344-8861 ext. 6142, Detective Sergeant Dwayne Whelpley at ext. 6151 or Detective Constable Mike Kahnert at ext. 6196.
