Two Women Charged In St. Thomas Assault

Two women have been arrested after another woman was beaten up in the west end of St. Thomas.

The St. Thomas Police Service says on Saturday, the victim attended a residence and became involved in a dispute with two other women. The victim was punched, kicked, and threatened, before having her purse, ID and cash stolen by her attackers.

The female victim was able to flee the residence and call police. She was also taken to hospital to be treated for her injuries and was later released.

Early Sunday morning, St Thomas police officers executed a search warrant at the address and arrested two women.

As a result, a 43-year-old woman has been charged with robbery, threatening to cause death and threatening to cause bodily harm.

A 44-year-old woman is also charged with robbery and threatening to cause death.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
