Third Suspect Arrested In Owen Sound Arson Case

Owen Sound Police Service have charged a third suspect in connection to Monday's arson spree in the city.

Bruce Peninsula OPP and Owen Sound police say 26-year-old Donald 'Donny' Kelly Wilson, of Owen Sound, was arrested at approximately 10am on Wednesday at a property in the Oliphant area.

Kelly has been charged with 17 counts of Arson - Disregard of Human Life, six counts of Arson to Property, and one count of Break and Enter.

Police officials say they are seeking no further suspects in the case.

A 17-year-old male and 24-year-old female are also facing charges in the case.

Monday morning’s arson spree damaged a 10 unit townhouse complex and destroyed several homes. Officials say 14 families were left homeless due to the fires.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
