SIU Closes Norfolk OPP Investigation

The Special Investigations Unit has cleared Norfolk County OPP officers of any wrongdoing in an incident that left a man injured earlier this month.

On August 2, officers were called to a Delhi home where a woman told police she had been assaulted by a man.

Investigators say the 31-year-old man ran from police and was injured after jumping over an embankment.

He was arrested and taken to hospital with leg and back injuries.

The SIU determined the man caused his own injuries when he jumped over the embankment and police had no contact with him.

The investigation is now closed.
