Three Suspended Following Brawl At Majors Game

The Intercounty Baseball League is handing down three suspensions following a bench clearing brawl during last night's London Majors game.

Officials say the confrontation started between the London Majors third base coach Casey Pulham and the Kitchener Panthers manager Dave te Boekhorst between the top and bottom of the eighth inning.

This resulted in both benches being emptied and what is being described as a "prolonged brawl" between players on each team.

As a result, London Majors player Julio Guzman will miss out on game four of the playoff series, which is scheduled for Tuesday night in London.

Kitchener coach Denis Bailey and manager Dave te Boekhorst have also been suspended for the game.

The league says additional penalties are possible as officials review the fights.

The umpiring crew and both teams are to provide written statements to league officials.

London went on to win the game 10-4 and now leads the semi-final series 2-1.
