Stabbing Leaves Woman In Critical Condition

London police say a young woman is in critical condition after being stabbed in the face.

Officers were called to Wharncliffe Rd. address around 1am this morning where they found a woman in her 20s suffering from a stab wound to the cheek area.

She was rushed to hospital in critical, but stable condition.

Officers then arrested a man nearby. He is also in his 20s and known to the victim.

The unidentified man faces one charge of aggravated assault and breach of recognizance.

He remains in police custody.
