Just before 7pm on August 6, emergency crews were called to the intersection of Brantford Rd. and Teeterville Rd. near Simcoe. A southbound motorcycle had slammed into the side of a westbound pickup truck.

The motorcyclist, 54-year-old Kenneth Haviland, of Norfolk County was killed. The passenger in the pickup, 74-year-old Patricia Menard-Williams of Woodstock, also died in the crash.
