Police Search For Missing Swimmer Off Saugeen First Nation

Police rescue crews are looking for a missing swimmer in Lake Huron off Saugeen First Nation.

The Bruce Peninsula OPP, Bruce Peninsula OPP Marine Unit, South Bruce OPP Marine Unit and OPP West Region Emergency Response Team are searching off the shores of a private cottage area for 23-year-old Garrett Lewis of Aurora.

He was last seen in a rocky area of the water around 7:30pm last evening. He is 6'1", thin build with short light blond hair and was wearing sand coloured shorts.

An OPP Aviation Services helicopter and the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit are en route to assist in the search.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
