Report Cards Available Soon

After months of waiting, students at London's public elementary schools will soon get their report cards for the 2014-2015 school year.

The mark summaries for students who were in Grades 1-8 during this past school year will be available come August 31.

The report cards must be picked up at the school the student attended that year. If they are not picked up between August 31 and September 4 they will be sent home during the first week of school.

"The Thames Valley District School Board wishes to thank parents, guardians and care givers for their on-going patience during the past few months," reads a statement on the board's web site.

In June, students were given what is called a "student placement letter" detailing what grade children would be in come the fall. It had no letter grades or comments as the teachers are operating under a "work to rule" campaign.

That campaign started on May 9 and the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario is threatening further job action should the union and province not reach a deal by the beginning of this coming school year.
