Career Criminal Dies At EMDC

A long-time London criminal has died inside the Elgin-Middlesex Detention Centre.

Sources confirm that Floyd Deleary was pronounced dead around 9pm Sunday night.

The 39-year-old, linked to an outlaw biker gang, had been in custody since 2009 and was reportedly waiting to find out if he would be named a dangerous offender.

Deleary had been in and out of many Ontario jails for different crimes over the years, including a manslaughter conviction in 1995.

A dangerous offender status would have prevented him from ever being released.

Police say the investigation into this death is on-going, but foul play is not suspected.
