Cyclist Hit Near Stratford

A cyclist is in hospital after being hit this morning by a vehicle in Perth East.

Just before 9am, Perth County OPP officers were called to Line 33, near Road 111 southeast of Stratford. Officers arrived to find that a white SUV was involved in the collision. The cyclist was taken to a local hospital where their injuries were determined to be critical.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) unit is assisting the Perth County OPP with this investigation. A road closure is in place with drivers requested to respect the closure and avoid the incident location.

Police have not released any names at this time as the investigation is on-going.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
