Big Acts Slated For London's Oktoberfest

Classic Rock FREE 98.1 is bringing Colin James and Kim Mitchell to Oktoberfest at the Western Fair District.

Rock The Festhalle is slated for Thursday, October 15.

The concerts are free with admission to Oktoberfest that night in the Agriplex. It is a 19+ event.

This is the first year the Western Fair District has hosted Oktoberfest, a staple in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. It usually draws upwards of 700,000 in that region.

The five day festival runs the weekends of October 9-10 and October 15-17. It will feature Bavarian beer, food and music.

The goal is to draw between 8,000-10,000 people to the Western Fair District throughout that time.

In Waterloo, 2015 marks the 47th anniversary of the German festival.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
