Police Agree To New Contract

Members of the London Police Service now have a new four year contract.

The details are set to be released at a news conference tomorrow afternoon.

The London Police Services Board and the London Police Association reached the deal last night.

It is retroactive until January 1 of 2015 and expires on December 31, 2018.

The last four year contract approved by the London Police Association saw a wage increase of over 11%.

In 2014, there were a total of 212 London Police Service employees on the Sunshine List.

Of those who banked more than $100,000, 68 of them were constables.

Typically, the top salary for a constable employed by the London Police Service is near $92,000.

More to come.
