Typically, overnight parking is allowed between Victoria Day and Labour Day.
Councillor Jared Zaifman introduced a motion to have it extended two months.
City staffed warned council it would mean more than $200,000 in lost parking ticket revenue. Despite that, the extension was approved at last night's meeting.
This is a pilot project and overnight parking will be discussed further at future council meetings.
