Elgin OPP issued a news release Monday afternoon saying they were looking for Kerry Smith, 43, of Central Elgin.
He had last been seen outside the Southwest Centre for Forensic Mental Health Care on Sunset Dr. around 1:30pm on Sunday, September 13.
Smith was arrested around 4:30 Monday afternoon.
Police say charges are pending.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
