Police Looking For Purse Snatchers

Police are investigating after two reported purse snatchings in London.

The London Police Service says on Tuesday around 9:40pm, a man grabbed a purse from a woman in the area of Edward St. and Langarth St. E.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his mid 20's, 5'8" tall with a slim build. He had "scraggly" brown hair and "scruffy" facial hair. He was wearing a dark shirt and white shorts.

Police say less than an hour later around 10:25pm, a man approached another woman from behind, knocked her down and stole her purse in the area of Grand Ave. and Carfrae Cres.  The woman was not injured.

This suspect is described as a white male, late 20's to early 30's, 6' tall with a slim build. He had short black hair, brown eyes and was wearing a red baseball cap.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
