Another Driver Hits Building

For the second time in two days, a vehicle driven by an allegedly impaired driver has crashed into a building in the region.

Huron OPP says around 3:30am Thursday morning, officers were called to Ontario St. in Clinton, where a vehicle hit the outside wall of a restaurant.

A woman inside the restaurant was given a breathalyzer test, which police say she failed. Beth Ann Clarke, 40, of Central Huron is charged with impaired driving and driving while disqualified. '

On Wednesday morning around 7:35am, Middlesex OPP says a Hummer heading north on Kerwood Rd. in Kerwood went off the road, hit a pole and then hit St. Paul Anglican Church.

The driver was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Kerri Bloomfield, 36, of Adelaide Metcalfe is charged with impaired driving and possession of cocaine.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
