High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

Londoners will rally against Stephen Harper's Trans Pacific Partnership in Victoria Park this weekend.
Green Party Candidate in London-West and Lawyer Dimitri Lascaris will lead the protest this Saturday afternoon at 3:30pm.
Lascaris calls the 12 country tentative deal "NAFTA on steroids" and says it will "open Canadian laws, health and safety regulations, and the funding of public services to legal challenges by global corporations in a rigged and secretive private justice system."
The TPP has come under heavy fire by local farmers, the auto sector and politicians.
Some are worried it will cost thousands of jobs, increase the cost of prescription drugs and cripple the Canadian dairy industry.
