Charge Laid In Carson Ireland Murder

A 21-year-old man is now facing a first-degree murder charge in the death of 66-year-old Carson Ireland.

The murder dates back to December 21, 2014.

Ireland was found dead in his home on River Rd. on the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation.

At the time, police had said they were looking for a “tall, non-white male, wearing dark clothing and driving a light coloured vehicle.”

Investigators had announced yesterday that they had made an arrest in the case.

Brennan Westley Nicholas will appear in a London court to answer to the first-degree murder charge.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
