London Will Host 2016 Homelessness Conference

London will host a conference on ending homelessness next year.

It was announced Wednesday at the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness conference in Montreal that the next conference will be held in London from November 2-4, 2016.

A delegation from London attended this year's conference. The 2016 event is expected to bring 800 delegates to the city.

“We are working with our community partners to solve homelessness in London and together we can solve homelessness across Canada,” sys Mayor Matt Brown. “We are looking forward to welcoming delegates from across Canada to our city so that we can keep this critical conversation going.”

The head of the CAEH says it makes sense to hold the next conference in London.

"London is a hotbed of innovation and action on ending homelessness in Canada," says Tim Richter, President & CEO of the CAEH. "It was only a matter of time before we brought our conference to London and we can't wait to be there."
