Police ID Victim Of Fatal Fire

Police say foul play is not suspected after a woman died in house fire east of London.

The Ontario Provincial Police says on Tuesday around 12:55pm, the Thames Centre Fire Department responded to the fire on Elgin Rd. just south of Hwy. 2 in Thames Centre.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered 67-year-old Arlene McCallum deceased at the scene.

Following an investigation, police say no foul play is suspected.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
