Arrest Made In English St. Arson

A local man is facing arson related charges after a house fire on English St. in London.

The London Police Service says on Friday, a resident found the basement steps on fire and emergency crews were called to the home at 568 English St. around 9:17pm.

A resident living in the basement unit of the home was arrested near the scene.

Stephen Foreman, 46, of London has been charged with arson causing property damage and arson endangering life.

Damage to the home is estimated at $20,000.

The scene is being held by police and fire officials as the investigation continues.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
