Knights Acquire Goalie From Storm

The London Knights have acquired goaltender Brendan Burke in a trade with the Guelph Storm.

On Saturday, the Knights announced the hockey club had traded a sixth round pick in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection for the overage goalie.

Burke was drafted in the third round of the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft by the Portland Winterhawks, and has played a total of 144 regular season games and 26 playoff games between the Winterhawks and the Calgary Hitmen. The 20-year-old was then drafted 163rd overall by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft in the sixth round.

During his career, Burke has played in five seasons in the WHL, collecting 88 regular season victories.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
