Downtown Blitz By Police A Success

More than two dozen people are facing charges following a two day downtown blitz by London police.

Officers on foot, flooded the area November 19 and 20, in response to concerns from the public regarding drug activity.

Two people were arrested for trafficking crystal methamphetamine and hydromorphone. Police seized $1,066 worth of drugs.

Officers also charged a man with attempted theft and mischief under $5,000, after an individual tried to steal a bicycle in board daylight.

In total, eight people were arrested on outstanding warrants, nine for drug-related offences and 14 for criminal code charges.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
