Fire At Downtown Restaurant Considered Arson

An early morning fire at a downtown restaurant has been deemed a case of arson.

London police and fire crews were called to the Black George Restaurant at 349 Talbot Street at 4:30am Tuesday.

Police say someone broke into the restaurant and started a fire. The Ontario Fire Marshal has been called in to help investigate the blaze.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
