Man Charged In Rash Of Break And Enters

Police have arrested a North Middlesex man in connection with nine residential break and enters.

The Ontario Provincial Police says the rash of break-ins occurred between June 12 and November 19 at homes in North Middlesex.

Canadian currency, small electronics, and purses/wallets were stolen during the break-ins at homes on James St., Ailsa Craig Main St., William St., Robin St., Elginfield Rd. and George St.

Daniel VanWyk, 24, has been charged with nine counts of break and enter, as well as possession of cannabis marijuana under 30 g.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
