Marner, Watson Invited To Team Canada Camp

A member of the London Knights and a London-native playing in Kingston are among the players invited to try out for Canada's entry at the World Junior Hockey Championship.

Hockey Canada unveiled its list of players invited to the 2015 selection camp on Tuesday morning. Mitch Marner of the Knights and Spencer Watson of the Kingston Frontenacs are among the 30 players invited to the tryout camp.  Fellow Frontenac Lawson Crouse of Mount Brydges also received an invitation.

Marner, who was picked by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2015 NHL draft, has 47 points in 22 games for the Knights this season. Watson leads the Frontenacs in scoring with 29 points in 26 games. He was taken by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2014 draft.

The selection camp begins in Etobicoke on December 10.

This year's World Junior Hockey Championship will be held in Helsinki, Finland. Canada plays its first game on Boxing Day against the United States.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
