Woman Assaulted By Fake Cops

London police are looking for two men they say assaulted a woman after getting into her apartment by pretending to be officers.

Police were called to 111 Belmont Dr. around 11:25am on Monday to check on a woman who had called a friend for help. The woman told police that two men, who identified themselves as police officers looking for another person, came into her apartment and assaulted her.

She was taken to hospital for treatment.

The first suspect is described as a white male, clean shaven, with dirty blonde hair, and a receding hairline. He was wearing black dress pants and a black dress shirt.

The second suspect had an olive complexion and a stocky build. He was clean shaven and wearing dark jeans and a light blue, short sleeved, collared shirt.

Police say the incident lasted only a few minutes, but the men may have been in the buildling or in the vicinity as early as 8:30am.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
