Sloan To Headline Rockin' NYE

Thousands of Londoners will ring in 2016 with a group of Canadian rock legends.

Sloan was announced Friday as the headliner for this year's Rockin' New Year's Eve celebrations in Victoria Park. The Toronto-based rock quartet has won nine Juno awards during their nearly 25 year career. Their top 10 hits included “Everything You’ve Done Wrong,” “The Good in Everyone,” and “Money City Maniacs.”

The festivities on December 31 kick off with some home grown talent, as children's act Glee London takes the stage at 8pm. A children's fireworks display will fill the sky an hour later.

After 9pm, local alternative pop favourites Ivory Hours warm the crowd up before Sloan takes the stage at 10:30pm.

The evening wraps up with a fireworks display from the rooftop of city hall at the stroke of midnight.

As always the Rockin' New Year's Eve bash will be a free, family-friendly event.
