Fog Advisory Lifted

After spending much of the day surrounded by dense fog, Londoners can see clearly once again.

Environment Canada lifted a fog advisory for London and Middlesex Monday afternoon. The advisory was issued by the weather agency for much of southwestern and midwestern Ontario Sunday.

During the thick of it, drivers were met with near zero-visibility in spots during their morning commute. However, the foggy conditions were not enough to stop area school buses. Buses for both the Thames Valley District School Board and London District Catholic School Board ran on time.

Only one collision was reported in the London area. It happened at Elginfield Rd. between Wonderland Rd. and Roman Line in Lucan, when two vehicles collided. Police have yet to confirm whether fog was a factor in the crash.

The fog did leave OPP in Chatham reminding motorists to turn on their head and tail lights, so their vehicles could be seen by other drivers approaching them.

Fog is forecast to move back into the region Monday night.
