No One Hurt In Five Vehicle Crash

Damage is extensive following a five-vehicle crash south of London.

Elgin OPP officers were called to Wellington Rd. at Ron McNeil Line around 11:15am on Tuesday, after a pick-up truck crossed into oncoming traffic, then veered into the ditch.

Police say the pick-up continued on, crashing into the back of a vehicle stopped at the traffic lights before hitting the sign of a local business and finally plowing into three parked vehicles.

No one was injured in the crash but all five vehicles were heavily damaged.

Police say the driver and lone occupant of the pick-up, a 57-year-old St. Thomas man, had been heading south on Wellington Rd. prior to the crash.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
