Oxford OPP are reminding residents to be vigilant in reporting suspicious activity after thousands of dollars worth of fishing gear was stolen from a local business.

Provincial police say two men where spotted breaking into a business on Road 68 in Zorra Township before 1am Tuesday.

The pair got away with $8,000 worth of fishing equipment. Their vehicle is described as a light coloured Chevrolet Avalanche.

Police continue to investigate the robbery. They are asking residents to report suspicious people or vehicles that may be in the neighbourhood, or travelling aimlessly up and down roads.

Police say contacting officers immediately helps them find suspects when they are still in the area.
