Elgin OPP Investigating Tobacco Theft

Provincial police in Elgin County are investigating after $28,000 worth of tobacco was stolen from a barn in Malahide Township.

OPP say sometime between December 6 and December 12, a barn on Carter Line near Chalet Line was broken into and 24 bales of dried tobacco were stolen.

Police are asking anyone with any information to call Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or (519) 631-2920.

Tips can also be provided anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
